BACKGROUND:

Immunotherapy is the only etiological treatment for the allergy as well as being recommended by WHO. In the veterinary world are increasingly the advent of professional who choose this type of therapy. Since
in 1941 and began his work with dogs, immunotherapy has evolved a lot both in terms of effectiveness in both type of administration. The two types of immunotherapy is currently the most commonly used are those of aqueous allergen extracts and the depot. The latter, commonly adsorbed hydroxyl in aluminum, have an initial dosage of 5-6 months duration with weekly injections beginning and fortnightly at the end, and a second maintenance phase with monthly injections.

The long period of administration and the beginning of improvement in symptoms, often means that the owners of our patients abandon the treatment, or even decide for not feeding it.

With the aim of reducing the initial period, some authors have tried to use a type of dose tested in human medicine called "Rush" which consists of hospitalization and patient monitoring with the aim of reaching the maximum dose - or maintenance - in one session through several consecutive and higher doses. This dosage has not been successful due to the large number of effects indesiderati .

Alergovet, fondandosi nell'esperienzia in umani garantita da numerosi test clinici - , e nell'evidenza del basso numero di effetti indesiderati nell'utilizzo di fosfato di calcio come coadiuvante, ha sviluppato un nuovo metodo di somministrazione raggruppata o "Cluster" attraverso la quale in sole due settimane (tre sessioni e otto iniezioni) si raggiunge la dose massima. Questo nuovo dosaggio ha dimostrato in test clinici - una sicurezza totale (non é esistito nessun effetto indesiderato) ed un'efficacia simile a quella dei dosaggi tradizionali. In piú, con la diminuzione del periodo iniziale, é possibile apprezzare il miglioramento clinico del paziente in un tempo inferiore.

METODO:

Per l'applicazione di questo tipo di dosaggio consigliamo la seguente metodologia:

1. A causa dell'applicazione in diverse sessioni di iniezioni a intervalli di un'ora, per una maggiore comoditá il paziente dev'essere portato in clinica dove il veterinario avrá la possibilitá di controllare tutto il dosaggio e l'evoluzione del paziente.
2. Sebbene il protocollo abbia dimostrato avere un'alta tolleranza, si consiglia di seguire le normali cautele in immunoterapia (sorvegliare il paziente, non somministrare alcun cibo subito prima e dopo le iniezioni, riposo un'ora dopo, ecc.)

3. Dosaggio iniziale RAGGRUPPATO:

Giorno "0" Cluster "1" (verde) Injection 1 => 0.1 ml sc
Day "0" Cluster "1" (green) Injection 2 => 0.3 ml sc after 60 minutes
Day "0" Cluster "1" (green) Injection 3 => 0 , 6 ml sc after 60 minutes

Day "7" Cluster "2" (blue) Injection 4 => 0.1 ml sc
Day "7" Cluster "2" (blue) Injection 5 => 0.3 ml sc after 60 minutes

Day "14" Cluster "3" (blue) Injection 6 => 0.3 ml sc
Day "14" Cluster "3" (blue) Injection 7 => 0.5 ml sc after 60 minutes
Day "14" Cluster "3" (blue) Injection 8 => 0.8 ml sc after 60 minutes


4. Dosage MAINTENANCE finite group / cluster
