Ignatia

The Ignatia, commonly known as St. Ignatius bean, is a climbing shrub of the family Loganiacee originating in the Philippines.
The name derives from the Jesuits, who wanted to give this plant whose medicinal properties were already known in Chinese medicine, the name of the founder of their clergy.
The plant is very similar to that which produces the fruit of the nux vomica, which I have already spoken, and as the nut contains strychnine, which is known as a powerful poison.
In homeopathy the bean of St. Ignatius' is free to use the dried seeds (known precisely Ignatii Strychnos), which are contained in the yellow-fleshed berries produced by the plant.

"Type" Ignatia is quite unstable and contradictory in terms of emotional and psychological often introverted and solitary, tends to withdraw into himself and to ruminate at length on any real or imaginary wrong, however slight, immediately, but if any discomfort is compatible or consulate.
- with stress symptoms such as depressed mood or changing, isolation, Mutacita, insomnia and hypersensitivity;
- resulting in severe headaches or pain Irratia;
- syndromes anguished and anxious by separation, loss or bad news;
- sleep disorders with light sleep and frequent shots of the limbs;
- gastric or abdominal pain with nausea and diarrhea source anxious;
- feeling palpitations
- dry cough home anxious. The effectiveness
dell'Ignatia appears to be greater for women than for men, for which Nux vomica is more suitable.
In the pediatric age is recommended for children who are very sensitive introverted and submissive, adolescence is prescribed for the treatment of anorexia and bulimia. Ignatia

symptoms improve with the heat and the distraction, worse with cold, strong smells, and in the evening to risvegglio and consolation.
